Bob Lee
Bob is a senior consultant who provides the unique perspective of a manager, developer, instructor, operator and maintainer of complex hardware and software systems.
Bobs experience includes thirty-one years in the U.S. Navy as an aeronautical engineering duty officer, naval flight officer, and electronics technician. A certified Navy weapons acquisition systems manager, Bob has a demonstrated in-depth knowledge of software specifications and documentation, DOD contract management, cost/schedule control systems for research and development and production programs, and requirements management and requirements engineering (RM&RE) for several Major DoD Programs. During his career he served in positions as an engineering technical manager, Deputy Program Manager, in-plant technical representative, operational flight test director, and instructor in electrical engineering at the U.S. Naval Academy, as well as, serving multiple operational tours as an electronic warfare and information operations specialist.
Upon retiring from the Navy Bob was employed at LSA Inc. as a Senior Engineer/Program Manger. He served as manager of LSA's RM&RE group where he provided requirements analysis and engineering support services to multiple DOD programs. Bob developed an innovative methodology of developing high level, executable system models of development specifications to resolve unambiguous requirement statements and provide an additional way to verify and validate the emerging system description. Programs supported included the Joint Strike Fighter, Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, F/A-18 Program Office, SH-60B Program Office, E-2C Program Office, and the Naval Air Systems Command/Aircraft Division – Computer Resources Branch. He is expert in the use of automated requirements tools, including Telelogics DOORS requirements tool, and i-Logixs Magnum software development, modeling and simulation tool.
Bobs management experience includes managing the Electronic Warfare and Radar Systems Branch of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Deputy Program Manager Acquisition, Test & Evaluation for the Navy Navstar Global Positioning System (GPS) at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR).
Bob has BSEE and MSEE (Electromagnetic Fields) from Purdue University and is a graduate of the Program Managers Course at the Defense Systems Management College, Ft. Belvoir, VA. He is a thirty-year member of the Association of Old Crows (AOC) and a charter member of the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE).
